About Judith

Judith took a degree in English Language and Literature and has subsequently continued the detailed study of plot, character, and motivation everyday as a headhunter, probing the narrative arc of careers, the decisions and influences which inform success. Over nearly four decades, she has appointed numerous executives and non-executives to publicly listed and privately owned entities.  There are few sectors or functions in which Judith has not worked.  The common theme throughout her career has been board search.

Judith has an endless capacity to find every client scenario fascinating, and to distil that enthusiasm into an approach to candidates that is compelling and accurate.  She is unerringly curious about people and brings genuine fascination to the interview process, pinpointing the precise elements of a career or personality that form a match with a client need.

Well-trained in the research department of Heidrick & Struggles, Judith grew up in search without the benefit of LinkedIn and AI.  She worked on senior searches and on the research and production of three books by then Managing Partner John Viney.  Together they co-authored a pamphlet for a leading think tank. This breadth of approach and discursive capability has informed Judith’s outlook across her career.

Judith was one of the first employees at The Zygos Partnership, which became a leading board search firm.  Subsequently, she joined Stonehaven’s Board Practice, shortly after its inception. In founding Larkhall, Judith will continue to deliver exemplary search work alongside due diligence and career counsel with the aim of ensuring individuals, boards and organizations, separately and collectively, maximise their potential.

Outside work, Judith mostly reads.
